TRUSSVILLE — Several local agencies were involved in a car chase that ended in Springville on Monday, May 2.
According to the Trussville Police Department’s (TPD) Lieutenant Clint Riner, Springville Police Department (SPD), Argo Police Department (APD), and TPD chased a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Birmingham.
Riner said the car hit on a flock camera in Trussville at 5:57 p.m., and TPD attempted to initiate a traffic stop at Sonic in the 400 Block of Main Street in Trussville.
“The vehicle sped down Highway 11, and Agro and Springville joined the chase once entered their jurisdiction,” Riner said.
Riner said SPD deployed a spike strip, and the car was disabled at the intersection of Highway 11 and Highway 174.
“A short foot chase ensued before the suspect was apprehended,” Riner said.
The suspect is on an investigative hold by TPD.
