LAUDERDALE COUNTY — A warrant has been issued for the missing Lauderdale County Correctional Officer, Vicky Sue White.
According to WVTM13 News, the warrant charges Vicky White with permitting or facilitating escape in the first degree in connection with capital murder suspect Casey White’s escape from jail. The two are not related.

During an interview with WBRC, Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton said that Vicky White told jail employees that Casey White needed to be prepared for transport to the county courthouse for a mental health evaluation, but there is no record of a scheduled appearance.
However, the two never arrived at the courthouse, which is about a half-mile from the county jail.
Vicky White and Casey White were last seen on April 29, 2022, at approximately 9:40 a.m. at the Lauderdale County Detention Center. Vicky White was transporting Casey White in a patrol car, drove to a nearby shopping center, and reportedly swapped vehicles.
Apparently, a month before their disappearance Vicky White sold her home, and then the day of their disappearance, Vicky White retired.
Southern Border Patrol agents have been notified to stay alert.
