CANCELED: The planned lane closure on I-20 Eastbound and Westbound, in Jefferson & St. Clair Counties has been canceled.

JEFFERSON & ST. CLAIR COUNTY — Beginning at 5 a.m. on Monday, May 9, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close the right lane of I-20 eastbound for Paving Work between the Leeds exit (Milepost 140) and just east of the Brompton exit (Milepost 148).
All travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 3 p.m. on Monday.
This lane closure will also be in place from 5 a.m. through 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, through Saturday, May 14.
Beginning at 7 p.m., Sunday, May 8, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close the right or left lanes of I-20 westbound for Paving Work between just east of the Brompton exit (Milepost 148) and the Leeds exit (Milepost 140).
Travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 5 a.m. (middle lane) and 6 a.m. (outside or inside lane) on Monday, May 9.
These same lane closures will be in place from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. (middle lane) and 6 a.m. (outside or inside lane) on Monday night, May 9, through Sunday morning, May 15.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this construction operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
