LINCOLN — The Moody Police Department (MPD) is hosting its 3rd Annual Fallen Officers Memorial Fishing Tournament on Saturday, May 28, from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lincoln’s Landing.
The Fallen Officers Memorial Tournament will be a three-fish tournament, costing $85 to enter ($50 goes to payout, $25 goes to scholarships, $10 goes to Big Fish).
All tournament participants are asked to be registered and in the water by 4:45 a.m. Weigh-in will begin at 12 p.m. there will be a half-pound penalty per minute late, and at 5 minutes late, participants are disqualified.
Online registration opened Monday, May 9, and will go through Monday, May 23. Anyone who registers after May 23 has to register at the boat ramp at 3 a.m. the morning of the event.
Payout divisions are $500 for parent/child (age 15 or younger) and $500 for mixed couple (male/female).
Life jackets must be worn, and live wells must work and will be checked.
