ST. CLAIR COUNTY — Beginning at 7 p.m., Sunday, May 22, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will have right or left lane closures on I-59 northbound for Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) Shoulder Operations between Milepost 148 and Milepost 157 in St. Clair County.
All travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 6 a.m. on Monday, May 23.
These same lane closures will be in place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday, May 23, through Thursday, May 26.
Beginning at 9 a.m.., Monday, May 23, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will have right or left lane closures on I-59 Southbound for Guardrail replacement and reset between Milepost 157 and Milepost 148 in St. Clair County.
All travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 7 p.m. on Monday, May 23.
These same lane closures will be in place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, through Thursday, May 26.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Construction Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
