William Kenneth “Ken” Tracy, 69, also known as “Bubba,” of Center Point, passed away peacefully at his home on May 20, 2022.
Ken was born in Tennessee on July 15, 1952, and grew up in St. Elmo, Illinois, with his parents, Richard Dean and Charlotte Arlene Tracy. He graduated from St. Elmo High School and then joined the US Navy, where he honorably served in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged after four years of service. Ken was a member of First Baptist Church of Center Point. He served as a Traffic Engineer for the city of Birmingham for over 20 years. Ken was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and Auburn Football. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandson.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard Dean Tracy, Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Margaret Eady Tracy; daughters, Amanda Brooke Tracy and Heather Anne Tracy; grandson, Talan Ross Brashier; brother, Leland Michael Tracy (Sheila Rene); sister-in-law, Marla Tracy; nephews, Kevin and Bill Tracy; niece, Ola Michelle Ford (Brandon); great-nephew, Grayson Alexander Ford and great-niece, Avery Elise Ford.
A memorial service for Ken will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, May 26, at 2:00 p.m. Friends and family will gather one hour prior to the service.
