BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department (BPD) is investigating a shooting that caused a man to crash into a building on Sunday, June 5, around 1 a.m.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue pronounced Goldthwaite dead at the scene.
“The preliminary investigation has revealed the following: we believe the victim was traveling in the 600 block of 3rd Avenue North when a separate unknown vehicle pulled alongside him and a person began firing shots at the victim,” Officer Truman Fitzgerald said.
There have been no arrests made at this time.
