ST. CLAIR COUNTY — A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Pell City man on Sunday, June 12, at approximately 8:40 p.m.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Myles T. Whidden, 33, was fatally injured when the 1993 Chevrolet 1500 he was driving left the roadway, struck a mailbox, and overturned.
Whidden was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama 144 near the 6-mile marker, approximately five miles south of Ragland, in St. Clair County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
