TRUSSVILLE — Young soccer players in Trussville and the surrounding areas have a chance to hone their skills in a summer camp where they will learn from coaches with an impressing and vast array of experience, including in international football.
“La Liga” Futbol Camps, Inc., has been organizing day camps in Trussville for the past seven years and the organization is the are the only one offering full day camps from 8:30 a.m. -4:30 p.m.
“Parents drop off their kids before work and come back to pick them up after their workday is over,” said Victor Sambade, the founder and manager of La Liga Futbol Camps, Inc. “We organize the largest soccer camps in the Trussville area with an aggregate of more than 1,000 players at Trussville alone. We organize events in five different states.”
Sambade is a a native of Spain, home of arguably the most prestigious soccer league in the world, La Liga. He was called by the U16 Spanish National team and played for UEFA Champions League former powerhouse Deportivo de La Coruna, as well as for the UAB and the Birmingham Hammers.
“Our team of coaches come from Spain’s La Liga’s academies and other European top clubs to provide the Trussville area with a unique soccer program which combines a possession playing style and a learning and fun youth environment,” Sambade said. “Our program welcomes players from all levels, different clubs, boys & girls ages 6 to 18. We are already have our roots in the Trussville community, which truly feels like home. Camps Director Adrian Ferreira and Girls Division Coordinator Patricia Ganso have led more than 15 events at Trussville.”
This summer, La Liga will offer two sessions: July 20th-23rd and July 18th- 21st, both at the Trussville Soccer Complex, in collaboration with Trussville United Soccer Club.
