BIRMINGHAM — Two guns were located at Birmingham’s Wenonah High School on Wednesday, June 15, resulting in the suspension of two students.
According to Carol Robinson at AL.com, one gun was found by metal detectors when a student entered Wenonah High School for summer school classes. During a random search, authorities located a second weapon.
Law enforcement was notified of the incident, and Birmingham City Schools stated that the students would be “suspended pending a disciplinary hearing.”
Wenonah High School currently has several dozen students participating in the summer school classes.
