TRUSSVILLE — Ironstone Pizza in Trussville officially opened under new management and owners on Thursday, June 23.
Kemp’s Kitchen owner, Brian Kemp, acquired Ironstone Pizza in Trussville at the beginning of June 2022.
“We are just excited that Ironstone finally gets a good go around,” Kemp’s Kitchen Marketing Director, Daniel Harp said. “It finally got the management that it deserved. There’s a lot of potential for the restaurant and it finally has what it needs to be a great restaurant.”

Ironstone will have a lunch special, which Harp said they’ve never had before.
“We’re pretty excited about those,” Harp said. “We will be serving pasta, eventually in the next few months, so people can be looking forward to that.”
Ironstone Pizza will be serving Neapolitan pizza, not New York pizza.
“It has a high crust, kind of like New York, which kind of has a charred bottom, brownish bottom, and it’s super cheesy,” Harp said.
Harp explained that Ironstone will also cater pizza, which will be a different thing they are adding to the restaurant.
“As far as for Kemps, it’s just building a legacy. It’s not just a restaurant to us,” Harp said. “As far as the Kemp family, it’s more than that. It’s more than money. We just like to feed people.”
Ironstone Pizza, located at Homestead Village (5445 Patrick Way in Trussville), will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Ironstone Pizza is hiring and if you are interested in working for the business you can apply by texting “APPLY” to 415-851-3180 with code 129272.
