TRUSSVILLE — The 14th Annual Trussville Freedom Celebration is on Monday, July 4, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Local food trucks, family activities, music, and a large fireworks show will be held on the Trussville Mall in front of Cahaba Elementary. This is a free-admission event for the whole family.
“We are looking forward to seeing everyone again this year,” Administrative Team Leader at First Baptist Church Trussville, Jamie Chappell said. “This event is such a great opportunity for Trussville and its surrounding communities to come together in celebration of freedom.”
Food trucks will open at 5 p.m. with food for purchase. Local vendors include the following: Wasabai Juan, Southland BBQ, Pazzo Big Slice Pizza, Rae Rae’s Catering, El Compa Taco Truck, Simone’s Kitchen ATL, Chick-fil-A Trussville, Cousin’s Maine Lobster, Bendy’s Cookies and Cream, Frio’s Gourmet Pops, Kona Ice, Pints & Popsicles Ice Cream, Sharon’s Desserts, Dixieland Funnel Cakes, Snowie of Alabama, and Annie’s Lemonade.
DJ Platinum will provide music at 6 p.m., and the Act of Congress will perform live at 7:30 p.m. The fireworks show begins at 9 p.m.
Other family activities include face painting, balloon artists, and giveaways.
The Trussville Freedom Celebration is hosted by First Baptist Church Trussville with the help of its corporate partners: Hardy Engineering, Engineering Design Group, McCullough Oil, Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce, Pump It Up – Trussville, Jefferson Memorial Funeral Homes, Barrington Real Estate, Express Oil and Tire Engineers, Shay Shelnutt, Skipper Consulting, Bryant Bank, Chamblee & Malone, Dobbs & Adkins, PPM – Zane Hood, and Ad Spark.
