BIRMINGHAM — A 32-year-old man was killed in a Birmingham crash on Thursday, June 30, at approximately 6:27 a.m,
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Corey Dewayne Amous, of Bessemer, was the driver and lone occupant of a Ford Expedition traveling east on Jefferson Avenue Southwest.
Amous was pronounced dead at the scene.
“For unknown reasons, the decedent’s lost control of his vehicle and overturned,” Chief Deputy Coroner William Yates said.
The Birmingham Police Department is investigating the cause and circumstances surrounding the wreck.
