BIRMINGHAM — Skeleton remains were found in a burnt car in Birmingham on Friday, July 8, at approximately 1:15 p.m.
Officers from the BPD West Precinct responded to 334 Sheridan Road in Birmingham on a call of a burned vehicle located on the property of the Fraternal Cemetery. Officers arrived and observed skeletal human remains in the vehicle’s passenger seat.
“The preliminary investigation led detectives to classify this incident as a homicide investigation,” Sergeant Rodarius Mauldin said. “The investigation is ongoing. No arrest has been made.”

This is the 66th murder investigation of 2022, with five justifiable death investigations.
