BIRMINGHAM — A Sylacauga woman was killed in a crash on US Highway 280 that occurred on Wednesday, July 13, at approximately 11:54 p.m.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the 41-year-old victim was the driver of a red Chevrolet Cavalier traveling east on US Highway 280 when she was involved in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Grandview Parkway.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been positively identified, but the family has not yet been located and notified of the death.
The Birmingham Police Department is investigating the cause and circumstances surrounding the wreck.
