TRUSSVILLE — According to the Trussville Police Department, one person is dead after a crash on Main Street closed all lanes of traffic for several hours. The crash occurred just before 3 a.m. on Monday.
The roadway reopened at about 6:30 a.m. on Monday.
“Due to a traffic collision, all lanes of Highway 11 in Trussville are closed at this time between Kay Avenue and Highland Avenue,” police said. “Please avoid the area and take an alternate route. Lane closures are expected to last several hours.”
The crash involved a passenger vehicle and an 18-wheeler, according to TPD Lt. Clint Riner.
There was one fatality who has not been identified at this time.
