Clifford E. Odom, 91, of Trussville, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022. He was born on May 27, 1931, in Walker County to Henson Odom and Martha Brown Odom.
He was a Veteran serving in the US Army during the Korean conflict for six years and then served in the Alabama National Guard for 30 years before retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer in 1984. Cliff then embarked on a successful real estate career, starting three realty offices, built many homes, and started several subdivisions. Cliff then went to work as a manager for Liberty National Life Insurance Company for 12 years. Following that, Cliff then started his own real estate appraising company. During his work as a real estate appraiser, he was appointed to the Alabama Real Estate Appraiser’s Board by the Governor.
He enjoyed fishing, boating, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and spending time at their lake home. Most of all, he loved his family and was the consummate optimist.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra of 35 years, (son) Larry Odom (Kathy), (daughter) Sherril Odom, (daughter) Pamela Odom Ritchey (Ferris), (step-son) Terry Holmes (Vanar), (step-daughter) Jennifer Holmes Harvey (Gary), eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. and the burial following at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
