JEFFERSON COUNTY — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred in unincorporated Jefferson County on Friday, August 5, at approximately 6:23 a.m.
“Deputies arrived and found a 29-year-old man lying in the driveway of a residence suffering from a gunshot wound,” Deputy Chief David Agee said. “The man was treated on the scene by paramedics and transported to the hospital where he later died.”
Sheriff’s detectives are processing evidence on the scene and conducting an investigation.
