SHELBY COUNTY — A two-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Sterrett man on Sunday, August 7, at approximately 2 p.m.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Harold L. White, 86, was critically injured when the 2013 Honda Civic he was driving was struck by a 2021 Mercedes GLE driven by Jane B. Dickens, 53, of Mountain Brook.
White was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Dickens was also transported to UAB Hospital for medical treatment.
The crash occurred on U.S. 280 near the 20-mile marker, approximately two miles east of the Chelsea city limits, in Shelby County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
