BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the male victim shot and killed while sitting in a vehicle on Friday, August 12, at approximately 2 a.m.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Courtney Montez Craig, 35, of Birmingham, sustained gunshot wound injuries while sitting in a vehicle in the 900 block of 4th Avenue West in Birmingham.
Craig was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death is being investigated as a homicide by the Birmingham Police Department.
