BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of a 40-year-old Birmingham man who was shot and killed on Tuesday, August 23.
King was found shot on the 2400 block of Green Springs Highway around 7:23 p.m. by officers responding to a 911 call.
“The decedent sustained gunshot wound injuries during a reported assault,” Deputy Coroner Bill Yates stated in his report.
King’s death is being investigated as a homicide.
