BIRMINGHAM — A pair of bodies was found Tuesday morning, August 23, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office announced Wednesday.
Their identities are unknown at this time.
“The decomposing remains of two individuals were found in an overgrown lot by Birmingham Public Works employees clearing vegetation in the area,” Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates stated in his report. “Autopsies will be performed (today) to assist in establishing positive identification and begin the process of determining cause and manner of death. The circumstances surrounding the deaths are being investigated by the Birmingham Police Department.”
