TRUSSVILLE — Hewitt-Trussville Volleyball won a pair of matches on Thursday night inside Bryant Bank Arena to improve to 11-1 overall on the season.
The Huskies opened the night with a 2-0 win over Mortimer Jordan. The Huskies controlled both sets in the victory.
Next, the Huskies took on Vestavia, a consistently strong program. Hewitt-Trussville won the opening set by the score of 25-22. The Rebels responded to win the second set to tie the match 1-1. In the third and final set, the Huskies prevailed by a score of 15-12.
The team will hit the road next Tuesday for a tri-match with Oxford and Springville. The games on Tuesday will be held at Springville High School. On Thursday, the Huskies will return home to face Chelsea in the first 7A Area 6 match of the season.
The contest against Springville will be a rematch, as the Huskies defeated the Tigers 25-13 and 25-20 in the opening match of Hewitt first tri-match of the season.
