MOODY — Friday’s football games between the Moody Blue Devils and the Cleburne County Tigers, the Leeds Green Wave at the St. Clair County Saints, and the Springville Tigers vs. Southside have been moved to Thursday, September 8 due to potential severe weather.
“Flooding may persist through mid week along the Chattooga River in Cherokee County,” The National Weather Service stated in its weather advisory. “Patchy fog will reduce visibility to below one mile across parts of Central Alabama through early Tuesday morning. Heavy rainfall may occur on Friday and Saturday and result in localized flooding.”
The following counties may be at risk of flooding during this time period, the National Weather Service states: Marion-Lamar-Fayette, Winston, Walker, Blount, Etowah, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Clay, Randolph, Sumter, Greene, Hale, Perry, Bibb, Chilton, Coosa, Tallapoosa, Chambers, Marengo, Dallas, Autauga, Lowndes, Elmore, Montgomery, Macon, Bullock, Lee, Russell, Pike and Barbour.
