UPDATE: Trussville Police Department has given the all-clear, and Walmart is now resuming normal operations.

TRUSSVILLE — Trussville Walmart has shut down after two masked suspects made threats on Saturday, September 10, at approximately 7:09 p.m.
According to the Trussville Police Department (TPD), Jefferson County Deputies and TPD responded to the scene at 5919 Trussville Crossings Parkway in Trussville.
“Loss prevention contacted us and reported that they saw two black males wearing ski masks inside the store asking for an employee and threatening to shoot up the place,” Lieutenant Clint Riner said.
Officers and deputies are performing a safety sweep of Walmart, and Walmart is temporarily shut down.
“There are no injuries and no reports of any weapons being on the scene,” Riner said. “At this time, there are no immediate threats to public safety.”
No suspects are reportedly in custody. However, law enforcement is actively investigating the scene.
