JEFFERSON COUNTY — Beginning at 7 p.m., on Sunday, September 18, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close the inside left lane at 7 p.m., and center lane at 8 p.m., or outside (right) lane at 7 p.m., and center lane at 8 p.m., of I-20 eastbound or westbound for Asphalt Overlay between Milepost 130.595 (1st Avenue North Bridge) and Milepost 140.154 (US 78 in Leeds).
All travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 5 a.m. on Monday, September 19.
These same lane closures will be in place from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday, September 19, through Friday, September 23.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Construction Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
