BIRMINGHAM — A convicted felon pleaded guilty on Thursday, Sept. 15, to illegally possessing firearms.
The court documents state that in October and November 2020, Pruitt illegally possessed an American Tactical, Omni Hybrid, .223/.556 caliber pistol, and a Springfield .40 caliber pistol.
Pruitt is prohibited from possessing a firearm because of prior felony convictions. In April 2008, Pruitt was convicted of robbery first-degree and receiving stolen property. In March 2019, he was convicted of Domestic Violence, Second Degree.
The maximum penalty for being a felon in possession of a firearm is 10 years in prison.
