JEFFERSON COUNTY — The homicides in the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office’s jurisdiction are down 29% over this same time last year.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, after reviewing the mid-year crime stats for 2022, they release the numbers for January through August 2022. There is also a comparison to the same time frame from 2021. With the exception of car burglaries and car thefts, overall crime has decreased for the same time frame this year.
