BIRMINGHAM — A 29-year-old man was killed in a shooting in Birmingham on Thursday, September 29, at approximately 4:02 p.m.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Adarius Jamar Peterson, 29, of Birmingham, sustained gunshot wound injuries during a reported argument in the 2600 block of 5th Avenue South in Birmingham.
Peterson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates stated that the death is being investigated as a homicide.
