TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City Board of Education will hold a Called Board Meeting Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 5:00 pm in the Board Room of Central Office for the purpose of discussion and consideration of a contract for an Acting Superintendent, according to a statement on Wednesday.
Superintendent Pattie Neill is currently on a 60-day leave that came after citizens packed the City Council chambers with concerns about the schools and just before school board members heard from many of those same citizens.
Last week, board members held a meeting to update the public on their activities since Neill’s leave. Among the items discussed, board members said they had reached out to the Alabama Association of School Boards for a list of retired superintendents who offer their services for roles such as acting superintendent.
This will be the only item on the agenda.
The meeting will be livestreamed on the TCS YouTube channel. The link to the livestream will be posted on the TCS website (www.trussvillecityschools.com) by 4:45 pm October 13, 2022.
