TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City Schools BOE named Dr. Frank Costanzo, former superintendent of Tuscaloosa County Schools, as acting superintendent of TCS, on Monday.
Costanzo will fill the role after Dr. Pattie Neill took a 60 day leave following parents packing a City Council meeting two weeks ago. Following the BOE meeting which granted leave to Neill, the BOE also heard from citizens expressing concerns with the school system.
Costanzo called the Trussville school system “elite,” stating his role was to move the system forward and help the board make decisions in the best interest of the school system.
“To our students, you are why we’re here and you are the lifeblood of our system,” Costanzo said.
