CENTER POINT — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the pedestrian killed in Center Point on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at approximately 9:15 p.m.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, 63-year-old Edward Tyrone Brown appeared to be walking in the lane of travel at Center Point Parkway at 22nd Avenue North West.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office states the driver of 2010 Audi Q5 was traveling North on Center Point Parkway and struck Brown.
Brown was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle’s driver that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and cooperated with detectives.
The cause and circumstances surrounding the motor vehicle accident are being investigated by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
