UPDATE: The multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 59 near the 159-mile marker before Exit 166: US231 in Oneonta has been cleared.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY — A multi-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:37 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23, has caused a lane closure.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the southbound lanes of Interstate 59 near the 159-mile marker before Exit 166: US231 in Oneonta is currently blocked and will be for an undetermined amount of time.
Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division are currently on the scene investigating and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
