Cummings was found lying unresponsive inside a vehicle in the 800 Block of 45th Place North by South Precinct officers who were dispatched on a report of a Shot Spotter alert.
BPD states officers also learned the victim’s infant son was inside the vehicle during the shooting but was not seriously injured. The preliminary investigation suggests that a domestic argument occurred before shots were fired into the victim’s vehicle.
