BESSEMER — An inmate at William Donaldson Correctional Facility serving a 15-year sentence for robbery from a 2015 conviction out of Tuscaloosa County died on Thursday, Nov. 17, at approximately 9:43 a.m.
“An autopsy was performed on Friday, Nov. 18, but the cause and manner of the death has not yet been determined, pending additional laboratory studies,” Chief Deputy Coroner William Yates said.
The circumstances surrounding the death are being investigated by the Alabama Department of Correction – Law Enforcement Services Division.
