JEFFERSON COUNTY — A Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy was involved in a crash while responding to a shooting on Wednesday, Dec. 21, just after 2 a.m.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the deputy was responding to a shooting that had just occurred when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle at an intersection.
“Both drivers were transported to a local hospital for treatment of what are thought to be non-life-threatening injuries,” Lieutenant Joni Money stated.
