BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department (BPD) is investigating a homicide that occurred on Monday, Dec. 26, at approximately 1:44 a.m., in the 2700 block of Jefferson Avenue Southwest.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim dead.
Sergeant Monica Law stated two other individuals, an adult female and a teenage victim, had been transported from the scene by private vehicle to an area hospital suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
“The injured individuals were also at the same location when the adult male was killed,” Law stated. “Currently, there are no suspects in custody.”

This is Birmingham’s 133rd murder investigation of 2022, with 10 justifiable death investigations.
