BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department (BPD) is seeking help identifying a suspect involved in multiple business robberies.
According to the BPD, detectives are investigating four business robberies and believe the same suspect is responsible for each.
BPD has provided details on the robberies below:
- Saturday, December 31, 2022, 11:20 AM- Gas Boy (9917 Parkway East)- The suspect walked into the business, pointed a handgun at the store associate, and stole store merchandise before fleeing the scene.
- Monday, January 9, 2023, 1:40 PM- Metro PCS (1141 Huffman Road)– The suspect walked into the business and made a threat toward a sales associate with a weapon before fleeing the scene with U.S. currency.
- Monday, January 9, 2023, 7:35 PM- Family Dollar (3001 12th Avenue)- The suspect walked into the business and made a threat toward a sales associate with a weapon before fleeing the scene with U.S. currency.
- Monday, January 9, 2023, 8:25 PM- Marathon (7764 Crestwood Boulevard)- The suspect walked into the business and made a threat toward a sales associate with a weapon before fleeing the scene with U.S. currency.
Authorities ask anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to contact BPD Robbery Detectives at 205-254-1764 or remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
