BIRMINGHAM — During a trial that began on Monday for a 2019 Center Point home invasion that resulted in the shooting death of 21-year-old Benjamin Gonzalez, 23-year-old Frank Steele was found guilty by a Jefferson County jury on Friday, Jan. 13, according to Carol Robinson at AL.com.
Robinson stated that because the killing was not a death penalty case, Steele would be sentenced to life without parole.
Steele was represented by Jefferson County public defenders Adam Danneman, Paul McDaniel, and Madelinn Hillsmith, prosecuted by deputy district attorneys Warren Brooks and Tiffany Ould and took place before Circuit Judge Stephen Wallace.
