BIRMINGHAM — Detectives request assistance from the public in obtaining information on a homicide that occurred on Aug. 10, 2020, on Interstate 65 underneath the 16th Street North bridge.

“Officers arrived on the scene when they were met by the Alabama State Troopers, who stated they observed a driver inside a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound,” Officer Truman Fitzgerald stated.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced Williams dead.
“Currently, we have no one in custody,” Fitzgerald stated.
