BIRMINGHAM — A Mississippi man was struck and killed by a vehicle on U.S. Highway 280 on Thursday, Jan. 19, at approximately 8:40 p.m.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Nicholas Joseph Stein, 38, Mendenhall, Mississippi, was a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in the 4600 block of U.S. Highway 280 in Birmingham.
Stein was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Birmingham Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
