BIRMINGHAM – Corieonna Hines was shot and killed inside her 9th Avenue West apartment Tuesday night. The young mother was also pregnant at the time of her tragic death, and according to investigators, her daughter and niece were also shot. The daughter and niece are expected to recover.

Hines’ sister, Lationna Wilson, has started a GoFundMe to help care for her sister’s injured child and cover her funeral expenses.
“As most of you know I loss my sister in a tragic and unexpected way,” Wilson said on the GoFundMe page. “Unfortunately my sister did not have life insurance and we’re seeking any contributions to help towards funeral arrangements. She was a loving mom of two kids a daughter that’s 7 that’s also battling for her life. And one son that’s 4. Anything will be helpful and grateful to help with the home going services for my sister. Thank you in advance and keep me and my family in your prayers.”
