IRONDALE — Mayor James D. Stewart, Jr. will present his third State of the City address to members of the Irondale Chamber of Commerce and guests on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023. The luncheon will be held at the AGC Building located at 5000 Grantswood Road, Irondale, beginning at 11:30 a.m. A limited number of luncheon tickets are still available at www.IrondaleCommunityFoundation.com.
Mayor Stewart will discuss the State of the City through the lens of Irondale’s past, present, and future.
“Over the past 25 months, Irondale has seen record growth in our housing market, and we have positioned ourselves as Alabama’s hub for the luxury automotive industry,” stated Mayor Stewart. “We have major economic development projects on the horizon, and we are investing in our infrastructure as well. The City is preparing to build a new library, fire station and training facility, and will soon begin park renovations that include a dog park and top tier youth athletic facilities. We also recently acquired over 150 acres of property to expand our green space inventory and further position ourselves as an eco-tourism destination in the region.”
