BIRMINGHAM – A 31-year-old man died Sunday, March 5, 2023, after the motorcycle he was operating was involved in a wreck with a pickup truck, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office released.

Demarcus Deshawn Swanson, of Birmingham, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at the 5600 block of Oporto Madrid Blvd, Birmingham, at 6:09 p.m.
“The decedent was the lone rider of a motorcycle involved in a two-vehicle collision with a pickup truck,” Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said. “The cause and circumstances surrounding the wreck are being investigated by the Birmingham Police Department.”
