BIRMINGHAM – Decomposing human remains were discovered by a postal worker on Wednesday May 3, 2023.
Dustin Butler, 45, of Birmingham was found at the 1200 block of Slope Drive by a postal worker and later pronounced dead at approximately 10:53 a.m. Wednesday morning by Jefferson County Sheriffs.
An autopsy performed on May 4 found no evidence of trauma or foul play associated with the death.
The cause of death is pending additional laboratory studies.
