JEFFERSON COUNTY — Independence Day is upon us and there are several ways you can get a fireworks fix happening in the area on July 4.
Here are three shows that are accessible for you and your family:
The Trussville Freedom Celebration, hosted by the First Baptist Church of Trussville, is a fun night of food, fireworks and live music. The celebration begins at 6 p.m. on July 4 and will end with a grand firework finale at 9 p.m. Food trucks will be on hand to enjoy while listening to returning band Act of Congress. Thunder on the Mountain is back again for another show over Red Mountain. At 9 p.m., around 2500 fireworks will light up the sky with a unique score featuring artists such as James Brown, Imagine Dragons and Neil Diamond that will be timed and choreographed to the colorful firework display. Pell City is hosting a July 4 Fireworks Extravaganza on Logan-Martin Lake on the lake shores at Lakeside Park and the City Sports Complex. This annual event can be enjoyed by boat or from numerous land locations around the lake. The firework show will commence at 9 p.m.
