Shawn Robinson, Events Manager, Trussville Civic Center
TRUSSVILLE — Christmas comes to town early this year, and it’s bringing the North Pole along for the ride! The North Pole Expo, formerly known as Totally Christmas, will be held at The Trussville Civic Center on Friday, November 17 from 9 a.m.- 8 p.m., and Saturday, November 18 , from 9 a.m.- 7 p.m. Admission is free.
In addition to the classic traditions of our show, this year we are kindly asking for donations for our partnership with The Community Food Bank of Central Alabama. We hope that you can share your season with those in need this year.
We accept unopened canned food and boxed food items such as canned tuna, canned vegetables, potato flakes, peanut butter, pasta, rice, etc.
Donations can be dropped off at the civic center from now until December 11.
This year’s event features around 70 vendors with plenty of great goodies to showcase! There will be arts, crafts, jewelry, and plenty of sweet treats to help usher in the Christmas season. Santa will be here Friday and Saturday this year! He will kick things off Friday morning with his all star ukulele band. They will take the stage at 11am on Friday. He will be in the main lobby of the civic center on Saturday from 10-2 p.m. for pictures and interactions with all the great families in Trussville. The kids will be able to write letters to Santa, as well as make food to give to his rowdy reindeer bunch on Christmas Eve!
We are also proud to have the Cahaba Elementary show choir perform on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. and students from Kristy White Music perform on Saturday at 11 a.m. There will be several food options available throughout the event, so be sure to have a snack while you shop!
We are so excited to bring this event to Trussville once again. The name may have changed, but the wonderful Christmas tradition and heart of the show remains the same.
