BIRMINGHAM — For the second time this week, a male has been shot and killed in the Roebuck area in east Birmingham. Police in Birmingham are investigating after finding a teenager dead from a gunshot wound on Saturday night.
BPD Officer Truman Fitzgerald said officers were alerted to a person down in the 400 block of Cheri Lane at 9:11 p.m. Officers from the East Precinct arrived to find a male lying in the street unresponsive.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim dead.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office later identified the teen as Adonnis Xavier Bishop McQueen of Birmingham. McQueen was a senior at Huffman High School.
No suspects are in custody at the time.
Last Tuesday, a man was shot and killed on a balcony at the Parkway Inn on Parkway East in Roebuck. That homicide remains under investigation.
