LAWERENCE COUNTY — A single-vehicle Thanksgiving Day crash killed a north Alabama teenager, according to Corporal Reginal M. King of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Wiliam A. Owens Jr., 19, of Decatur was fatally injured when the 2014 Dodge Challenger that he was driving left the roadway, overturned and struck a utility pole, according to King.
“Owens was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” King said.
The crash occurred on Lawrence County 222, approximately three miles east of Trinity, in Lawrence County.
No further information is available as Troopers with ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
