From The Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE – Trussville police and fire departments are currently on the scene of a reported fire at the Captain D’s located at 407 Main St, Trussville.
“We received a call of a fire in a wall at Captain D’s,” Fire Chief Tim Shotts said. “We don’t believe there is major damage and there are no reported injuries.”
Employees said none of the restuarant’s cooking equipment caught on fire, but that smoke was coming from inside a wall. Customers and employees evacuated the building and the employees called Trussville Fire and Rescue.
Chief Shotts updated that the fire has been reported under control and the fire investigator is currently on site to determine the cause.
“I think the fire’s out and they’re just checking for extension to make sure that it didn’t get into anywhere else,” he said.
